Today’s educational field is crowded with exceptional talent. The recent influx of highly qualified teachers into both the public and private school systems has only served to better the education that our nation’s children receive. Thus, a growing number of teachers enroll in a privately funded teaching fellowship. A teaching fellowship is designed with hands on experience in mind, giving prospective teachers lessons not just in their specialized curriculum, but also in how to deal with students and how to keep them engaged. This is a commonly sited problem among educators. Teachers can’t seem to get their kids excited about learning. Kids today are becoming increasingly apathetic about their education, instead choosing to focus on more immediate concerns such as video games, television, and socializing with their peers.
